Come to the Ozarks and enjoy excellent trout fishing

in the beautiful Missouri trout parks

     In addition to Bennett Spring State Park, Maramec Spring Park, Montauk State Park, and Roaring River State Park, there are several nice privately-operated trout fishing areas in Missouri you may want to visit. Some of these parks offer both catch-and-release and pay-by-the-pound fee-fishing.

Dogwood Canyon Nature Park  Located in the scenic Ozarks, just 25 miles southwest of Branson, Dogwood Canyon boasts two trout streams offering a variety of angling opportunities.  Little Indian Creek is stocked several times annually and is available for either catch-and-release or catch-and-keep fishing.  Dogwood Creek, developed as a trophy area, provides limited access (guided only) to this catch-and-release spring-fed stream.  Also, be sure to see www.dwcanyonfishing.com for additional information about Dogwood Canyon and the Orvis Fly Fishing Schools held there.

Rainbow Run Trout Park, Inc.   Managed by Charlie and Melody Krause, Rainbow Run Trout Park is located 30 minutes north of Branson and 20 minutes south of Springfield (2 1/2 miles west of Highlandville on Hwy. "O").  Open all year 9 a.m. to dusk. Park waters meet the needs of both beginners and experts, and consist of three different pools called the Spring Pool, Main Pool, and the Falls Pool.  Rainbow Run offers both catch-and-release and catch-and-keep fishing.  

Rainbow Trout Ranch and Gun Club (Rockbridge)   Over the years, Rockbridge has earned a fine reputation for its trout fishing.  In addition to visiting its official Web site, be sure to read about Rockbridge Mill, the area's history,  Rockbridge Spring, and the on-site hatchery.

Spring Valley Trout Ranch, Inc., HC 71 Box 115, Thornfield, MO 65762  Spring Valley offers you one mile of secluded rainbow trout fishing on a spring-fed Ozark stream deep within the Mark Twain National Forest. "As needed" stocking provides you with constant fishing action. Most fishermen keep and pay for the trout they catch, but Spring Valley also offers a catch-and-release program for those who prefer to release their fish. Fly-fishing lessons are available at a reasonable price. Spring Valley's dining room offers a variety of home cooked meals.  Their modern 22-unit motel provides you with clean, comfortable lodging. Each room contains two double beds. No TV or telephone in the rooms. Reservations are required, and you must stay there in order to fish there. All facilities are within walking distance of Turkey Creek. Nature lovers enjoy the natural, scenic beauty of the park. WindRush Farms Trout Stream  WindRush is located on a private spring branch tributary of the upper Meramec River, and has almost two miles of stream available for fishing.
